So... the room that Dom has been sleeping in since we moved in is a yellow room with bead board... super cute nursery... so I had decided that the baby would get that room and we would move Dom into the room across the hall... the only problem is that I HATED the colors. The pic above is what the room looked like and I just couldn't put Dom in it... it really bothered me that it was so red/dark and uninviting!
So we went to Lowe's on Saturday and Darin found a color scheme that he liked that didn't require us to paint the top half of the room... which is FINE WITH ME!! Here's a pic of Darin painting the walls... (well really it's his bum but I think it's kinda hot! )
Here's just some of Dom's furniture in the room. I am obsessed with the changing table so moved it in his room at least for now. The baby room does have a dresser with the changing table flat part so I might use that for Colton and the changing table might just stay in Dom's room till he's potty trained!
Here's Dom sitting in his car bed! What a silly idea this is. He is such a good sleeper but last night... trying to get him to lay down and actually sleep was kind of a joke. He realized that he could just hop out whenever he wanted to and well.. lets just say... he ended up in his crib last night! He needs a night light and a few other things before the bed thing will work... but I'll keep at it! :o) It's a new room, new bed, new start... change is hard!
Yay for weekend projects that actually get done! It looks much better (I think) and Dom loves his Vroom Vroom bed... even though he won't sleep in it! ;o)

That is a cute bed.
Awww...I love it congrats dom!
We are trying to decide how to move kids around and if Jaxson should move to a big bed...your project looks great and it won't be long before Dom will actually sleep in his bed!
That is so awesome! Yeah for Husbands and their weekend projects. I think Dom and Kirsten must have hung out alot in the preexsitence cause they both love to squint their eyes and show off their teeth when they smile!
Wow
Great job on! The colors look great and you guys did it very quickly. Even better keep the pictures coming as well as the updates I love them. Good luck with the staying in bed thing, we used the top bunk bed with the side rails to keep Em in and it worked until another older child taughter her how to climb out.
